Recreational Fishing Trusts grants 

Who can apply?

Fishing clubs, fishing organisations, relevant community organisations, schools, universities, councils, etc.

Who can assist you?

All applicants are encouraged to contact the Recreational Fishing Trust Management Team prior to preparing an application. Assistance can be provided to discuss your proposal and with completing your application to ensure applications are consistent with priorities for funding.

When do the grants close?

Applications close at 5pm on 23 January 2026.

Funding guidelines

Applicants must read the funding guidelines before completing an application form. The funding guidelines contain essential information including eligibility and assessment criteria required for developing applications.

How to apply

Applicants are required to complete the online application form prior to the closing date, which can be accessed via the NSW grant finder webpage here. The 'Apply Now' button will re-direct you to the SmartyGrants platform where you will be required to create a log in with a username and password.

Standard plans with a number of design options are available here. Any lighting should be solar powered unless a power supply is readily available.

Fishing platforms
