Enhancing Recreational Fishing in NSW Action Plan 2026 - 2031

A new 5-year action plan to create more fishing locations, improve access to waterways and boost the health and resilience of fish stocks is being developed.

Public consultation on the draft Enhancing Recreational Fishing in NSW Action Plan 2026 – 2031 (PDF, 3036.96 KB) closed on 24 April 2026.

All feedback is now being considered as part of the review process to help shape the final action plan.

The Enhancing Recreational Fishing in NSW Action Plan 2026 – 2031 has been developed by the NSW Government and the Recreational Fishing NSW Advisory Council.
