The procedures and practices implemented by Fisheries Research for collecting and maintaining fish, research techniques and operation of aquaculture facilities for the purpose of scientific research, are consistent with the objectives of the Australian Code for the Care and Use of Animals for Scientific Purposes. Compliance is supported by A Guide to Acceptable Procedures and Practices for Aquaculture and Fisheries Research [Under Review] and the activities of NSW DPIRD Animal Care and Ethics Committees.
