NSW LGA Forest by Tenure dashboard (2025)

The “NSW LGA Forest Area by Type & Tenure” dashboard provides a comprehensive overview of the total forest area, encompassing both native forests and plantations. This data is categorised by tenure across the Local Government Areas (LGAs) that are entirely within the NSW UTM Zones 55 and 56.

The spatial Forest extent and Tenure data used for the dashboard are avalable on SEED dataportal. The 2022 NSW Forest Extent and NSW Land Tenure spatial layers, both developed by the NSW DPIRD – Forest Science team in 2024.
