Purpose of the award

Named in honour of NSW wine industry pioneer and former NSW DPI Deputy Director of Agriculture, the Graham Gregory Award recognises individuals for their outstanding contributions to the NSW wine industry. It is awarded for excellence and leadership in a range of areas (innovation, R&D, policy, winemaking, viticulture, regional/state marketing, tourism, education, market development and sustainability) and rewards individuals who make contributions across the industry.

Eligibility

Resident of NSW

All applicants must be resident in NSW.

Criteria

Ongoing contribution(s) to, and impact on the NSW wine industry

Significant contributions to the NSW wine industry over a sustained period and with lasting impact in the areas of (but not limited to) leadership, innovation, R&D, advocacy, policy, winemaking, viticulture, regional/state marketing, tourism, education, market development and sustainability.

Professional excellence and demonstrated leadership

Leadership and excellence in their area(s) of expertise, including contributions to industry boards, committees, panels, strategy, governance in the NSW wine industry.

Industry recognition

Recognition of innovation, excellence and leadership from industry peers, associations and associated groups in the NSW wine industry.

Professional integrity

Continued and demonstrated level of personal integrity and professional dedication to the NSW wine industry.
