Agtech Fundamentals
The Farms of the Future school resource is based on the Agtech Fundamentals training program – Monitoring your Farm with Agtech. It is designed to allow students to explore the role technology plays in agriculture and the benefits it can bring to a farm business.
Farms of the Future is committed to helping farmers embrace technology for increased productivity, market competitiveness and better resource management.
This school resource includes a student workbook, answer guide and the Agtech Fundamentals e-Learning program.
Student workbook
The student workbook covers:
- Technology in agricultural production
- Developing a school farm Monitoring Plan that includes:
- farm mapping
- identifying pain points
- addressing connectivity and Agtech device needs
- Careers in Agtech
The student workbook can be downloaded with the answer guide (zip file)
These resources are mapped to the NSW Agricultural Technology Years 7-10 Syllabus and the Technology 7-8 Syllabus. It can also be used to complement NSW Stage 6 Agriculture elective: Farming for the 21st Century.
Activities in the Student Agtech Fundamentals Workbook requires all participants to complete the online training module.
