Tocal farms picture books and activities
Our picture books are written to share information about Australian agriculture with young children and students. In the back of each book there is a page describing the agricultural knowledge in the story, to help teachers and parents get the most from the book.
Messages of kindness, inclusion and difference are also overlaid onto the story and the animal characters.
The activity booklet helps includes background information for teachers and parents and helps students clarify the food and fibre learning as well as the social / emotional learning. Download the booklet.
The activity sheets are also available as forms, your young people can be honing their computer skills while learning about the Tocal farms and food and fibre production in Australia. This download is a zip file that includes individual forms for each activity.
Some of the books have an Auslan interpreted reading on YouTube, the rest will be added as we complete them. See the videos.
