1.OPERATIONAL UPDATE- IMPACT OF FUEL PRICES AND AVAILABILITY

We are currently aware that the Middle East Crisis is critically affecting fuel availability and pricing and that this situation is having a large impact on many. At this time there will be no changes to our current pricing or additional levies.

The test list provides a price guide for commonly requested tests. Additional tests are available upon request.

Prices are per sample (or per number of samples representing one disease problem or pathogen)

Samples with more than one species present will be charged per species identification. Specific test costs are available for some sample types, please enquire with Customer Services 1800 675 623 or complete the online quotation request form for further information. For larger volumes of samples, special project pricing may be possible, please call customer service or use the quotation request form to enquire. We do not accept samples associated with human health. Please contact the Medical Entomology department at Westmead Hospital on (02) 8890 7265 for further information. This will ensure you receive the appropriate level of medical treatment should your samples contain pests or pathogens of significance to human health.

Please note, testing we DO NOT do includes:

Plant species, variety or cultivar identification
Pesticides, herbicide, antibiotic, heavy metal or other residue analysis in plants, growing media or water
Nutritional analysis in plants, growing media or water
Fungal contamination or mycotoxins in stock feed
Seed viability or purity

Courier services and specimen delivery

For NSW submissions, please contact the relevant Customer Service team for courier account details and to order consignment notes.

For submitters outside of NSW, Couriers can be contacted directly to make bookings and arrange collection of packages at the submitters own cost.

Commercial couriers may use either road or air transport and specimens should therefore be packed in accordance with International Air Transport Association (IATA) requirements. Most submission sent by veterinarians to the AHPL for testing are defined as “Biological Substance Category B” and must be packed according to the IATA packing instructions 650 (Biological Substance Category B). As requirements for transport can change, customers should consult with their transport agent to obtain current requirements.

Samples may also be hand delivered to the site during normal business hours (8.30am - 4.30pm).
