Laboratory specialists Bio2IC were engaged to undertake a peer review of the design of the new facilities to ensure they would meet regulatory standards.
No major issues were identified, and the reviewers were satisfied that the new facilities would meet the required regulatory standards. The reviewers also made suggestions that would enhance the functionality of the PC3 facility.
The NSW State Government allocated an additional $13 million to the project to ensure laboratories could meet increased regulatory standards. Despite this the project budget is still extremely tight and work will need to be prioritised to ensure we gain best value from the project.
