The NSW poultry egg industry is vital to NSW with most of the 209.4 million dozen eggs produced in the state each year being consumed within our community. With an increasing population and changes to resource availability, the industry is expanding and innovating to meet the needs of NSW.
NSW DPIRD supports the poultry egg industry through policy, stakeholder engagement and industry initiatives to achieve and increase outcomes in animal welfare, food safety, biosecurity, environmental protection and industry development.

Egg Farmers of Australia (EFA)
Egg Farmers of Australia is the national representative body of Australian egg farmers. They represent commercial egg producers of cage, barn, free-range including mobile caravan producers and have membership across the supply chain.
