Having spent my career working across government in natural resource, sustainability and climate change program delivery, I know how important it is to have access to clearly written and easily understood information to guide adoption of the latest science and innovation.

My role coordinating the communications and engagement activities for the Climate Vulnerability Assessment and previously the Primary Industries Climate Change Research Strategy, helps the team of scientists I work with focus on what people need to know about climate change impacts and solutions for primary industries.

I grew up on our small beef cattle farm near Blayney, NSW and watched my dad work hard to learn all about cows and farming, as he’d spent his entire life until this move in the city. Watching him struggle with technical guides and all this new language, really inspired me to want to help people grasp new knowledge easily.

I love working with the amazing scientists that make up the Climate branch and the Climate Vulnerability Assessment team. Helping them get their science out there so that industry and other stakeholders can take our results and use it to support their businesses adapt to the changing climate is just exciting. I also enjoy coordinating networks of people to achieve shared goals. Communication is also a passion and I enjoy working to help translate complex concepts into simple language to broaden impact and enable access.
