Cattle Tick
- NSW entry requirements
- Movements onto or off a restricted holding in NSW
Animals that carry cattle tick (cattle tick carriers) need to meet certain inspection and/or treatment requirements under the Biosecurity Act 2015 and Biosecurity Order (Permitted Activities) 2019.
Cattle tick carrier means cattle, bison, buffalo, deer, equine, sheep, goats, camelids.
All movements of cattle tick carriers entering NSW or moving off a restricted holding in NSW can be declared using the cattle tick record of movement (CT ROM) form and can be submitted with a photo or scanned image of a biosecurity certificate.

NSW Cattle Tick App
The Cattle Tick Record of Movement (CT ROM) can be completed via the Cattle Tick App.
The digital cattle tick record of movement form was first released 29 May 2020, replacing paper-based forms. An upgraded app was released 12 July 2023. Paper-based record of movement forms are not accepted.
Secondary cattle tick carriers- movements under self-certification
Venues may apply for low-risk land status (self-certification) by emailing cattletick@dpi.nsw.gov.au to request an application.
