Review on ways to enhance the delivery of feral pig and feral deer management in NSW
The Minister for Agriculture has asked the Commissioner to review ways to enhance the delivery of feral pig and feral deer management in NSW.
The Commissioner’s review will consider:
- The most effective and appropriate control measures and approaches available to manage feral pigs and deer at a regional scale, including any new and emerging methods and constraints to implementation.
- Approaches to increase landholder participation and sustained engagement in regional control programs already in place including:
- Identification of barriers to participation
- Incentives, and
- Circumstances where landholders not participating presents a material risk to the effectiveness of regional programs.
Stakeholder engagement
The Commissioner will consult with relevant key stakeholders to inform the review and the report and recommendations to the NSW Government.
