NSW State of Biosecurity Report

Successful biosecurity risk management is critical for the protection of the NSW economy, industry, environment and the health and wellbeing of communities.

Biosecurity benefits NSW by protecting the state from the negative impacts of animal and plant pests, diseases, and weeds. A robust biosecurity management system brings with it a range of benefits for NSW, including:

To ensure transparency and accountability, the NSW Government publishes a State of Biosecurity Report every 4 years. This report tracks the status of biosecurity in NSW and highlights progress against the goals of the NSW Biosecurity Strategy.
