MiniMilkBiz
Mini Milk Biz is an Excel based tool that:
- analyses the financial position of a dairy business from a cash perspective, as well as generating several key daily performance indicators
- is designed to calculate as much financial and physical information about the dairy business as possible with the ability to change feeds and/or prices to investigate possible outcomes on the business
- primarily focusses on the feeding practices as feed costs are the largest operational cost in a business
- determines income from milk sales
- utilises comparative data for non-feed related cash costs and income (excluding milk income), unless the business has easily accessible data of its own to enter.
It is not a complete financial assessment as several generic costs can be used. It is also not a ration formulation program as it only uses metabolisable energy in the feeding calculations.
