Responding to disasters can be stressful and dangerous but is made much easier if you have prepared your farm or business ahead of time. Be sure to have an Emergency Plan in place that you can follow when facing an emergency or natural disaster. Importantly, ensure yourself and others are kept safe from danger caused by risks like severe weather, damaged infrastructure, or hazardous conditions.

Disease and biosecurity hotlines
If you are responding to a pest or disease, it is important you report it to DPIRD. You'll find up to date information on all pests and diseases known to the NSW government on the Biosecurity section of our website.
